you get the picture. as a matter of fact, here's a picture:
yeah... yeah.
the struggle was so real for a couple of days...
BUT IT'S FIXED NOW!! I, MYSELF, FIXED IT!!
If you ever come across this issue, let me be the the one to tell you how to fix it!
i'm explaining this to the best of my abilities:
Step 1: BUY A NEW SCREEN.
this is probably the most expensive part of this... experience.
like, as far as i know.. the screen can't be literally fixed, itself. it's permanently broken because there's liquid in there that makes it look all bright and HD-ee. so unless you're a wizard with liquid screen fixing skills.. you're fucked ❤ just go online, google the name of your laptop, the make of it, and some numbers that you can find on the bottom of the laptop itself. like for example, mine is a Toshiba Satellite L855D-S5220. you also need it's dimensions. you know, how long and wide it is (time to put what you learned in elementary school to work). you can simply do that by using a ruler or measuring tape or whatever the fuck you have around that can tell you how long something is. when in doubt, look in your brother's room. he probably has a ruler somewhere in that mess because he likes to keep track of how much his dick has grown each month/week/day/hour/millisecond.
my measurements were 13.5 x 8 inches (i'm referring to the laptop screen. not my penis. i don't have a penis). so now, just sanitize your nasty penis hands, take all of that information, type it into the google search and find the screen that fits what you need.
Step 2: YOUTUBE TUTORIAL THAT SHIT!
seriously! i'm not trying to be sexist or anything but if you seriously have the slightest idea on how to take apart a computer properly and you're as stubborn/curious/independentblackwomanwhodon'tneednoman-ish as i am, it's about time you get friendly with your smart phone (if you dont have one, you need to get hip! a smartphone can be your lifesaver. trust me.) and that youtube app and search "how to fix a broken laptop screen" or something along the lines of that. do not start anything until you understand what you need to do and have the proper tools on hand. it's probably even better if you do this before purchasing your screen. GET EDUMACATED BEFORE YOU START UNSCREWING ANYTHING!!
Step 3: *Cha Cha Slide Guy's voice* GO TO WORK!
by the time you get to this step, you should have probably done enough research to know what to do now. if not, PUT THAT SCREWDRIVER DOWN AND GET YO ASS BACK TO STEP 2 BEFORE SOMETHING CATCHES ON FIRE!!!! but if you so, just follow directions, be very careful, take your time, and you shall succeed :) if you have a computer similar to mine, there should be a cord that you just unplug (do it CAREFULLY!) from your old, broken screen and then do the reverse of what you did with your old screen, to your new screen (CAREFULLY!!!).
Step 4: YOU IS DONE!
CONGRATULATIONS, CHIL', YOU JUST FIXED YOUR FIRST LAPTOP SCREEN!!
don't break it again.
the end.
